i thought most of it was good, its just his attitude towards Meat that I thought sucked. Maybe I read into his attitude the wrong way, but "the motormouthed Meat Loaf filled me in what’s wrong with the Internet, his sucky melodies and how he wants to die. The highlights" seems like a negative take on Meat overall. Could just be me in a bit of a mood today with exams *shrugs* I guess it doesn't really matter. Its promo.

i thought most of it was good, its just his attitude towards Meat that I thought sucked. Maybe I read into his attitude the wrong way .... Could just be me in a bit of a mood today with exams *shrugs* I think so .. because it's pretty much a straight account of an interview with Meat. It was Meat who raised the issue around Aspen in Paradise (so that's likely to make the copy), Meat who said in the interview that his melodies "suck", and on stage I doubt he'd find "motormouth" an unfair epithet .. When he strides the stage getting the crowd enthused that's what he does, and the way he deals with hecklers. He even says his Indian name is Never Shuts Up, and that he can out-debate anyone .. if that doesn't equate with "one who talks excessively" what does?

And I liked this from a review, and the message Meat has been putting across in many interviews:
“Is it Bat Out of Hell? No, but nothing will ever be Bat Out of Hell.
“Will The Eagles ever have Hotel California again? No.
“Will Bruce Springsteen ever have Born To Run again? No.
“Will Adele ever have 21 again? Absolutely not.
“It’s not gonna happen, but that doesn’t make it bad for Adele or Bruce or anyone else.’’
What matters, he says, is passion, purpose and a driving need to express oneself.
“It’s very tough,’’ he admits in a moment of introspection. “The business has changed so much that it’s very hard to have an impact, because people are looking for instant gratification, to download songs on their iPod to take to the party.’’
“But you know what? I got a muse again — things I need to say, and this record is one of them. And if people don’t want to take the time to listen to it and understand it, that’s their problem, not mine.’’

Great quote there Caryl. I hate people pigeon-holing artists. Meat Loaf isn't Bat Out Of Hell. Meat Loaf did Bat Out Of Hell. If people want to tie him to it forever, they're the ones living in the past.
